Column with Variable

Variables are placeholders in a document or email that will be replaced with data – %name, %initials, %letter, %score, %salutation, or any others. Each variable must consist of a single word without symbols or spaces and must start with the % character. You can use as many variables as needed.

To add a variable to a table, simply type it into the editor. Any variables entered in the editor will automatically appear in the table.

Variables must be unique and should not overlap. For example, %name_student and %name_teacher are fine. However, %name and %name_student should not be used together because the latter contains the former. This overlap can cause unexpected behavior when the replacement occurs during file creation.

Variables can exist not only in a document but also in the body or subject line of an email.

To add a variable not included in the document, select any unused column and click “Choose Variable.”

"Choose Variable" Menu

Then, in the pop-up window, select the variable you need.

One document and one table can contain any number of variables. Variables are case-sensitive, so it's recommended to use only lowercase letters.

File Creation

When creating files, each variable in the table will be replaced by its corresponding value, and a file will be generated. If that file is later sent via email, variables in the email will also be replaced by their values from the attached file. If there are multiple attached files, the first file will be used as the basis.
